Asante Kotoko head coach Kazim Zito has described his side's defeat to Vision FC in the Ghana Premier League as a "wake-up" call ahead of their MTN FA Cup final against Golden Kick.
Kotoko ended the 2024/25 domestic league in fourth place, as Bibiani Gold Stars emerged champions of the season.
However, the Porcupines have the chance to end the campaign on a high in the upcoming MTN FA Cup, slated for June 15 at the University of Ghana Stadium.
"Vision FC played good and they deserve to win but the positive side of this game is; it is a wake up call to the finals [MTN FA Cup]," Zito said in a post-match interview.
"I saw it [defeat] coming before the Medeama game. I am not too much worried because it [the defeat] will help me rearrange my boys well for the final."
Winner of the MTN FA Cup will qualify for the preliminary stage of next season's CAF Confederation Cup.
