Emirates has appointed Salem Almana as its new Country Manager for Ghana, effective August 1.
In his new role, Salem will oversee the airline’s commercial operations in Ghana while strengthening partnerships and supporting Emirates’ long-term growth strategy in West Africa.
Salem most recently served as Regional Manager for Pakistan, where he led commercial operations across five cities.
Since joining Emirates in 2017 through the UAE National Commercial Outstation Programme, he has held various roles across India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives, gaining broad international experience in sales strategy, customer engagement, and market development.
Commenting on his appointment, Salem Almana said: “Ghana is an exciting and dynamic market, and I’m honoured to lead Emirates’ commercial efforts here.
"The country holds strategic significance for Emirates in West Africa, and I look forward to working closely with our team and local partners to build on the strong foundation we’ve established over the past two decades.
"Together, we will continue delivering a world-class travel experience to our customers and strengthening our presence in the region.”
Emirates has operated in Ghana for over 20 years, connecting Accra to its global network of more than 140 destinations.
The airline offers a full range of premium services across Economy Class, Premium Economy, Business Class, and First Class, complemented by its award-winning inflight entertainment and renowned hospitality.
In line with its commitment to the Ghanaian market, Emirates recently inaugurated a dedicated travel retail store in Accra, the first of its kind in West Africa, designed to provide customers with convenient and personalised travel solutions.
