Team Ghana capped off their performance at the 2024 Africa Zone 3 IHF Male Championship with gold and silver medals.
The four-day event which was hosted at the Borteyman Sports Complex saw Ghana's U-18 and U-20 male handball teams compete for honours with six other African countries.
While the U-18 team finished second overall, the U-20 team emerged as champions despite a slow start to the competition.
Team Ghana's U-18 beat Togo and lost to Nigeria in their first two games in the competition. They bounced back to beat Benin before facing Nigeria in the final.

The final was a repeat of their earlier meeting as Nigeria claimed a 33-25 win at the Borteyman Sports Complex to win gold while Ghana settled for silver.
However, in the U-20 category, Ghana's draw in the opening game against Ivory Coast was followed by victories over Togo and Benin.
In the final, Ghana faced Ivory Coast, a repeat of their opening game of the competition, this time securing the win with a 32-28 score to win gold.
The tournament was part of the teams' preparations for the upcoming African Games to be staged in Ghana next month.
