The Handball Association of Ghana held a colourful opening ceremony for the 2024 Africa Zone 3 IHF Male U-18 and U-20 Championship on Tuesday, 20.
The event took place at Borteyman Sports Complex ahead of the commencement of the games. Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso and Nigeria are the countries involved in this year's competition.
Ghana is hosting the competition for the third time in its history after also doing so at the Accra Sports Stadium last year.
President of the Ghana Handball Association, Nii Lante Bannerman, expressed his excitement to host the involved countries once again and thanked the Sports Ministry for the opportunity to use the sports complex.
The Borteyman Sports Complex is one of nine venues that will host the 2023 African Games.
