The Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) on Monday, June 30, successfully conducted its national and regional elections across all 16 regions of the country, with the exercise largely described as peaceful.

Voting at the national level concluded around 3:00 p.m., while several regional polls had wrapped up earlier in the day.






As of the time of filing this report, results were yet to be announced for the majority of regions.






In the Ashanti Region, however, counting concluded earlier, and results were officially declared without incident.

The election process, which marks a pivotal moment in the leadership renewal of the GJA, has been commended by observers for its orderly conduct and strong participation from members across the media fraternity.
