The Minister of Roads and Highways, Minister Amoako Attah has affirmed government commitment to develop the road infrastructure across the country.
Amoako Atta said road transportation accounts for about 98% of the means of transportation in the country, making roads the highest demand of government by the people.
The minister revealed that the success of the various projects that government has embarked on, such as One District One Factory, Planting for Food and Jobs among others will depend on the road infrastructure of the beneficiary communities.
The minister made these remarks when he addressed the media during a 2-day working visit to the Oti region.
He said government takes pride in the ongoing road infrastructure projects in all the districts across the country.
He reiterated government's determination to address the infrastructural needs of the 6 newly created districts to match the standards of the rest of the region.
Mr Amoako Attah asked the chief in the region to exercise restraint as every community would receive its fair share of developmental projects in due course.
The Roads and Highways Minister said he is hopeful these ongoing projects would earn the New Patriotic Party another 4-year term in government.
