Heart of Lions moved level on points with Medeama at the top of the Ghana Premier League following their win over Young Apostles.
Lions picked up a 2-0 win at home on matchday 10 of Ghana’s top flight on Sunday, November 16.
The Kpando-based were unbeaten their last three games heading into the fixture against the Wenchi-based side while the latter had three wins in their last five games.
Lions made a great start to the game registering their opening goal inside the opening 12 minutes through Michael Ephson.
The strike guided Bashir Hayford’s side into the halftime break as the better team.
The recess saw them continue their dominance in the game as they saw more of the ball and created decent chances.
They, however, had to wait until the 72nd minute to double their lead forcing an own goal from the You g Apostles defence.
The 2-0 wins means they climb to second position on the league table, level on points with Medeama.
