Ghana Premier League club Great Olympics have named Yaw Preko as their interim head coach due to the absence of Annor Walker.
Walker, who has steered the Wonder Club to some famous victories this season, is suffering from illness and has been excused from duty by the club’s management.
Walker was not in the dugout for their last two games against Aduana Stars and AshantiGold, which they lost - their first back-to-back defeats of the season.
Preko's appointment was confirmed on Tuesday and is expected to lead the team until Walker is available.
The former Ghana international has been coaching since 2013. He has been in charge of Ghana U-20, Hearts of Oak, King Faisal and Nigerian side Ifeanyi Ubah.
Preko will be assisted Godwin Attram, a former player-coach of Great Olympics.
Olympics have won 11 points after eight games in the league.
