The Green Africa Youth Organisation (GAYO), dedicated to preserving the planet for future generations, in collaboration with JoyNews and the Climate Development Knowledge Network is embarking on an exciting project: the Green Film Festival Accra.
This event aims to inspire environmental sustainability, combat climate change, and promote wildlife conservation, through films
With the theme "Stories Spark Change," this year’s edition will spotlight compelling narratives that explore the intersection of human activity and the environment. It emphasizes the crucial role of storytelling in driving environmental sustainability and social transformation.

The festival will be held at the Legon Botanical Gardens from October 25th to October 26th, featuring a dynamic schedule of activities. Morning, afternoon, and evening sessions will take place, with the evenings dedicated to an outdoor movie experience.
After receiving an impressive 1,800 film submissions, a carefully curated selection of 44 films will be showcased to the public across various sessions.
In addition to film screenings, there will be workshops, panel discussions, special screenings, and many other engaging activities to foster awareness and drive actionable change by addressing critical social and environmental issues.
