Newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Hohoe United are close to hiring Rahim Bashiru as their new coach ahead of the upcoming season.
The Volta Region-based side see the former Hearts of Oak assistant coach as the best fit for the job to replace Osei Shaibu, who does not have the required qualification to lead the team in the top flight.
Bismark Mensah, Prosper Narteh Ogum, and Yaw Acheampong were linked with the coaching job, but no agreement has been reached between the parties.
Bashiru managed Legon Cities and, more recently, Young Apostles, who finished 15th in the Premier League last season.
An official announcement of the details is expected in the coming days.
Hohoe secured a spot in the league after emerging champions in Zone Three of the Division One League.
