The Energy and Green Transition Minister and Member of Parliament for Yapei-Kusawgu, John Abdulai Jinapor, has called on sons, daughters, and friends of Gonjaland to unite in support of the Gonjaland Youth Association as it prepares to mark its 50th anniversary.
The Minister made the call after joining distinguished personalities at the launch and fundraising dinner commemorating the Association’s Golden Jubilee in Accra on Tuesday, February 17.
Describing the occasion as both historic and inspiring, Dr Jinapor said the evening was a proud celebration of shared heritage and collective achievements.

“I had the honour of joining distinguished sons, daughters, and friends of Gonjaland at the launch and fundraising dinner commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Gonjaland Youth Association in Accra,” he wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, the event also marked the official launch of this year’s Congress, which will be hosted in his beloved Yapei-Kusawgu Constituency, specifically in Buipe.

“The evening was not only a proud celebration of our shared heritage and achievements, but also the official launch of this year’s Congress, which will be hosted in my beloved Yapei/Kusawgu Constituency, precisely Buipe,” he stated.
Dr Jinapor urged all “Gonjalanders” to rally firmly behind the Association’s executives as they work toward delivering a successful Golden Jubilee Congress.

“Their commitment and sacrifice merit our collective support to ensure the celebration reflects the unity, resilience, progress, and pride of our people,” he emphasised.
He also extended an early invitation to all stakeholders to participate in the upcoming Congress in Buipe.

“I seized the opportunity to extend a warm and early invitation to every son, daughter, and friend of Gonjaland to join us in Buipe for what promises to be a memorable and inspiring commemoration of our shared journey and aspirations for the future,” the Minister added.
