Kenya's public prosecutor has opposed the release on bail of a Kenyan wanted in the US for drug-related charges, the Business Daily newspaper reports.
Mansur Mohamed Surur is wanted in the US to face charges of conspiracy to commit wildlife trafficking, money laundering and conspiracy to distribute narcotics.
He was arrested in July in Kenya's coastal city of Mombasa after arriving from Yemen.
The prosecutor is quoted as telling a court in Nairobi that he has received an extradition request from US.
He said there are chances the suspect will flee if released on bail.
