The National Democratic Congress (NDC) MP aspirant for Ho West has charged the rank and file of the party in his area to put their shoulders to the wheel and work to win power.
Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah entreated his opponents and their supporters in the just-ended primary to form a synergy to work in the best interest of the NDC, heading into the 2024 general elections.
He stated this is a communique copied to Myjoyonline.com.
“Having put the elections behind us, it is time we all put our shoulders to the wheel in the supreme interest of the National Democratic Congress.
"I appeal to every Tom, Dick, and Harry of the NDC fraternity in the Ho West Constituency that the ultimate is to win the 2024 elections as a party and also take full control of both the executive and legislative arms of government”, he stated.
He said heading into the 9th general election with a fragmented front would be detrimental to the ultimate agenda of the position party which seeks to clinch victory and govern Ghana.
“Putting our parochial interests aside at this point is a sine qua non for the real victory that we all yearn for. I, therefore, call on all comrades that we put on our respective party girdles for the real battle.
"We cannot afford to go into the 2024 elections with a divided front as a party. I am confident that we shall live up to the bill as we have always done by rallying around the Big umbrella for victory”, he stated.
He believes the Ho West NDC has a role to play in helping the party achieve its operation of one million votes in the presidential elections in the Volta in December 2024.
He lauded the efforts of the constituency executive body, members of the constituency elections committee, the electoral commission, and his competitors; Samuel K. Danku, Eric Delanyo Alifo, and Edwin K. Addae and the entire NDC Ho West for ensuring a nonviolent and successful primary.
He, thus, promised to work hand in hand with all comrades toward attaining victory for the NDC in the parliamentary and presidential elections.
