A 25-year-old man named Charles Oteng popularly known as Bullet has accidentally shot himself at Sankore in the Asunafo South constituency of the Ahafo Region.
Bullet who was said to be testing his gun misfired and shot himself in the act.
According to reports, efforts by neighbours to save him proved futile before his death.
Eyewitnesses say he fired the gun the first time and failed but the second attempt was what mistakenly led to his death.
Ahafo regional police (PRO) ASP Isaac Kwame Loh who confirmed the incident said the body has been deposited at Gosao Government Hospital awaiting autopsy.
