Mohammed Kudus will no more play in Europe after West Ham United suffered elimination from the UEFA Europa League.

The Hammers played out a 1-1 draw with Bayer Leverkusen at the London Stadium but wasn't enough to earn them a spot in the semifinal stage of the competition.

Kudus was named in the starting lineup for the game.

Michail Antonio opened the scoring for David Moyes' side after just 13 minutes to give the home side a dream start.

Both teams threatened on several occasions but were unable to convert their chances.

Leverkusen upped their game in the second half and took the game to the home side.

Jeremie Frimpong should have set up his teammate for the equaliser earlier but the Dutch defender went for goal and wasted the opportunity.

However, the right-back was right on hand to score a late equaliser to tie the game for Xabi Alonso's men and keep their unbeaten record going.

The 1-1 draw means Leverkusen advanced to the semis of the competition with a 3-1 aggregate score.

It also brings an end Kudus' campaign in Europe where he scored five goals in nine appearances.
