Following the stormy weather condition and rainfall on Tuesday morning, motorists have been advised to be cautious when driving to prevent road crashes.
The southern belt of the country experienced hours of rainfall amid a cloudy weather which affected movement of vehicles on the highways.
The Ghana Police Service says it has "deployed Police Patrol teams to assist individuals and communities in flood-prone areas."
"We further urge parents, guardians and school authorities to take care of their school children in order not to record any unwanted incidents."
"School children and those who are advanced in age are advised to stay indoors if possible until the weather becomes clearer for the resumption of school and daily activities," a public notice issued on Tuesday morning noted.
