In a press statement issued by the Presidency on Tuesday, 21 January 2025, President John Dramani Mahama made his third round of ministerial appointments.
The statement, signed by the spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu highlights the inclusion of prominent figures in various ministries as part of his new government.
Notable among the appointments are Dr Edward Kofi Omane Boamah, who has been nominated as the Minister for Defence, and Samuel Nartey George, who will head the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations.
Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, a seasoned politician, has also been appointed as the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.
Other appointments include Kofi Adams, who has been assigned to the Ministry of Sports and Recreation, and Abdul-Rashid H. Pelpuo, who will take charge of the Ministry of Labour, Jobs and Employment.
Kwabena Mintah Akandoh will be the Minister for Health, while Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has been nominated as the Minister for Foreign Affairs.
These appointments are seen as strategic choices aimed at strengthening the President's administration with experienced and competent individuals who will drive national development in their respective sectors.
