Henry Ametefe, Hohoe Constituency Director of Research and Elections, New Patriotic Party (NPP), says the July 11 election for constituency executives will be free without any incidents.
He said preparations for the exercise would ensure a relaxed atmosphere for candidates and delegates.
Mr Ametefe told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) that delegates were expected to vote in an orderly manner and follow all rules governing the exercise.
He said the Electoral Commission would supervise and conduct the elections, adding that security arrangements for the exercise had been made.
Mr Ametefe said the Chairman and Deputy Secretary positions were going unopposed, but delegates would have a ‘Yes or No’ option to elect or otherwise the candidates contesting.
He said a total of 1,127 delegates comprising 1,015 polling station executives, 85 electoral area executives, 17 constituency executives, five Council of Elders and five Council of Patrons would cast their votes in the exercise.
Mr Ametefe said the venue would be the St Francis College of Education and urged all those who would take part in the exercise to do so peacefully.
