Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, has described the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as a monumental failure.
According to him, the rate of dissipation experienced across sectors under the current administration is nothing to write home about.
"The NPP government has been a monumental failure. They have destroyed our livelihood."
Speaking at the launch of the NDC's manifesto in Winneba on Saturday, the legislator lamented the number of taxes slapped on Ghanaians which has left a huge burden on businesses.
"They have indeed driven our economy aground. They have collapsed Ghana's cocoa sector. They have wasted and dissipated Ghana's public fund. They have destroyed our good governance. They have reversed the progress of our country.
He told the gathering that this has been further worsened by the mismanagement of the economy, the collapse of the cocoa sector, and the scathing impact of the Domestic Debt Exchange Programme as part of the IMF conditionalities.
"They have delivered crude and painful haircuts across board. They have corrupted the moral fiber of our dear country, and of course, they have implemented the 'Agyapadie' state capture plan," added on Saturday.
Dr Forson urged Ghanaians to "come together to restore and reset our country."
