Opoku Ware SHS displayed their wits as they eliminated Wesley Girls' High School and Holy Child SHS from the race in becoming winners of the National Science and Maths Quiz.
The battle proved to be a survival of the fittest as they contested fiercely for a spot in the semi-final stage of the competition.

The "Akatakyie" boys did it once again as Richard Kyei Marfo and Noble Asamoah of Opoku Ware SHS unravelled their ammunition in each round of the contest to subdue their contending schools.
Unfortunately, the road ended for Wesley Girls' High School and Holy Child SHS though they proved to be worthy contenders and showed remarkable sportsmanship.

"Opoku Ware SHS, where are you?" and there, were the two-time champions, with 21 points leading the pack in Round One.
The ladies of the contest; Wesley Girls and Holy Child SHS came roaring with 15 points with the hope of taking the lead in subsequent rounds.

Overcoming all obstacles, Opoku Ware SHS was unperturbed as they occupied their fort with 26 points.
It was indeed a speed race as Wesley Girls' High School and Holy Child SHS found it difficult to keep pace as the battle got intense and challenging in Round Two.

Round Three welcomed 'the lionesses of Wesley Girls'; Gabriella and Benedicta Dontoh as they took charge with 9 points in the 'Problem of the day'.
Not far from reach was Opoku Ware SHS as they secured 7 points to add to their points. Holy Child SHS was at the bottom of the pack with 6 points.

It was a welcoming return for Opoku Ware SHS with 49 points in the True or False round.
Keeping up became a challenge for the girls' schools Wesley Girls and Holy Child SHS with 37 and 32 points respectively in Round Four.

The Riddle round had Opoku Ware and Wesley Girl's SHS on the verge of their seats as Holy Child gave a grand entry answering the third and fourth riddles each worth 4 points.
Unfortunately, it was too late for any surprises as Opoku Ware SHS guaranteed their spot in the semi-final stage with 49 points.
