Tamale Senior High School has knocked out Achimota School from the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).
It was a tough contest for the Motown boys as the fortified 'Lions' had their noses in the front right from the beginning of the competition.
The stars of the North fought effortlessly to book their place in the quarter-final stage of the championship.
Tamasco won the Prudential Life NSMQ Star award for getting a perfect score in the problem of the day. The team was awarded ¢2,400.
At the end of the contest, Tamasco secured 56 points while Achimota School lagged with 48 points. Kalpohin SHS was left in the distance with only 14 points.

In 2018, Tamale SHS beat Achimota School in a one-eighth clash, with only a three-point margin after a tiebreaker contest.

If their points remain the highest for the day, Tamale SHS will receive the Airtel/Tigo Highest Scorer award.
