New rules have been established as voting starts in Parliament over the fate of President Akufo-Addo's latest nominees to his government.
According to JoyNews' Parliamentary Correspondent, Kwaku Asante there are separate ballot boxes for the Majority and Minority caucuses.
However, when the poll ends, the ballots will be mixed for counting and will not be declared according to caucuses.
He also indicated that any legislator who displays his or her choice will have their vote annulled.
President Akufo-Addo nominated the Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, K.T Hammond as the Minister for Trade and Industry with the MP for Nhyiaeso, Dr. Stephen Amoah serving as his deputy.
The MP for Abetifi, Bryan Acheampong was also appointed as the Minister for Food and Agriculture.
Stephen Asamoah Boateng was appointed as the Minister for Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs among others subject to the vetting and approval of Parliament.
Sitting was suspended temporarily this afternoon after the House readied to conduct a secret ballot on the approval of President Akufo-Addo’s new ministerial appointees.
This was after a heated argument from the Minority side on Thursday against the move.
Prior to this, the Minority Caucus had opposed the approval of two Supreme Court Justice nominees.
