President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Libreville, Gabon, on Friday evening ahead of the inauguration and swearing-in ceremony of President-elect General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema.
The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 3, and marks a significant moment in Gabon’s political transition.

President Mahama’s presence underscores Ghana’s commitment to regional cooperation and diplomatic engagement across Africa.
General Oligui Nguema, who emerged as President-elect following recent political developments in Gabon, is expected to be officially sworn in at a high-level event that will draw dignitaries and heads of state from across the continent.

President Mahama is attending the ceremony as part of his broader efforts to strengthen bilateral ties and promote democratic governance and stability within the region
