Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has addressed the nation on some alleged inconsistencies in the voters' register.
This follows the suspension of his tour of the Bono Region on Wednesday over concerns about the new electoral roll.
A statement issued by the Campaign Spokesperson for the NDC, James Agyenim-Boateng, explained that Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, who is Mahama's running mate, has also cut short her weeklong tour of the Central Region.
While expressing his displeasure with the EC, Mr. Mahama who was addressing a gathering of chiefs and traders at Magazine in Sunyani, accused the Commission of deliberately deleting some names from the register.
He also indicated that the chaos and disorder associated with the 2020 electoral process has the "potential to create crisis in our country”.
Meanwhile, the planned press conference by the former President and his running mate will be televised on various media outlets across the country.
It will also be streamed via MyJoyOnline.com.
