The Ghana Police Service has announced that it is engaging the Department of Urban Roads to quicken the construction of a flyover on the Spintex Road - Flowerpot area.
The construction work, which began in September this year, was scheduled to be completed in mid-October.
Since construction works started, there has been heavy vehicular traffic on that stretch as the passage for road users had become narrow.
In a statement, the Police administration said that they were considering the possibility of working at night to ensure the early completion of the project.
They have also advised motorists using that stretch to “exercise patience and follow the directions of police officers deployed to control the traffic”
“The Police are engaging the Department of Urban Roads and the contractors concerned to help manage the situation, including the possibility of working in the night for an earlier completion,” part of the statement read.
The construction of the flyover is to link road users to the Tema motorway.
