President John Dramani Mahama’s official X account (@JDMahama) has been restored after hours of being compromised.
The account was breached on March 16, 2025, and was used to promote a suspicious cryptocurrency scam, Solana Africa, sparking mixed reactions.
The fraudulent post claimed the project was “led by Ghana’s President John Mahama to make payments across Africa free using the Solana blockchain.”
In a post on his newly restored account, President Mahama expressed his gratitude for the support he received during the incident.
"Thank you for your inquiries and offers to assist. My team, working with X support, has successfully restored my account," he wrote.
My team has restored my account, working with the X support team.
