Some miners at Ntobroso in Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region are calling on the government to show interest in the burning of excavators and a house by the military.
The aggrieved miners say the action by the military is unlawful.
Owner of the house destroyed by fire, Edward Gyamfi, alleges he was a target of the military operation.
According to sources, the miners protested against the military's action in the town.
One of the residents told the media, "If not for ECG officials who turned off the transformer, the entire town would have burnt."

He said children had to run into the bush.
"Some went for their kids at Botomuriso and Aniamoa. Why should it happen? The President should wake up. Some people are disgracing him."
The miners initially congregated in the middle of town with their signature placards, expressing their discontent with the military action and its consequences.
“The excavators have been burnt, and what the military did was wrong. So the government should tell us when the house will be rebuilt," another resident told JoyNews.
The miners allege that three excavators, a house, 450 pounds of gold, a cement shop, corn mill and a public toilet were burnt during the military operation.

According to Mr. Gyamfi, his excavators have been packed in the house over the past three months. He was surprised the military stormed his house and burnt them.
"A lot of people were calling me but I decided not to answer their calls.
A certain man I bought a machine from later called and told me, my excavators were destroyed. But I said, it was okay.
The calls never stopped, but I didn't pick up. I was still in Kumasi. Later I had a call that, my house was burnt.
I was very sad that day, my money and about 450 pounds of gold."
Mr. Gyamfi said everything including his family's clothes got burnt.
He is therefore calling for government's intervention.
