General Secretary aspirant of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Eugene Boakye Antwi, has taken a swipe at President John Dramani Mahama’s administration, insisting that Ghanaians continue to face severe economic hardship nine months into his government.
Speaking on JoyNews’ AM Show on Thursday, September 11, Mr Antwi argued that the President had failed to deliver any meaningful relief to citizens despite lofty promises made prior to the 2024 general elections.
“After nine months into Mahama’s government, the hardship hasn’t reduced,” he stressed.
According to him, the worsening cost of living and lack of job opportunities are clear indications that the government has yet to find effective solutions to Ghana’s economic challenges.
He added that the administration’s economic management style has left many families struggling to survive.
Mr Antwi maintained that the NPP remains the only party with a proven track record of steering the country through crises and urged Ghanaians not to lose hope, as the party is preparing to present a stronger alternative ahead of the next elections.
