The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has confirmed that two vehicles were destroyed while a school bus sustained partial damage in a fire outbreak at Mahean near Divine Glory School in the Greater Accra Region on Monday night.
According to the GNFS, personnel from the Anyaa Fire Station responded promptly after the Fire Master Control received a distress call at 9:40 p.m.
The firefighting crew, led by ADO II Tetteh David Quansah, was dispatched a minute later and arrived at the scene at 10:02 p.m. The fire was brought under control by 10:18 p.m. and completely extinguished at 10:54 p.m.

The fire completely destroyed a Toyota Highlander with registration number GN-3868-Y and a Nissan Sentra with registration number GE-6765-12.

A Nissan Coaster school bus with registration number GT-2061-N sustained partial fire damage. Firefighters prevented the blaze from spreading to nearby properties and other vehicles.

The GNFS said no casualties were recorded in the incident. It added that investigations are underway to establish the cause of the fire.
