Multi-award-winning global phenom Stonebwoy has released his sixth studio album UP & RUNNIN6, available now in stores via Burniton Music Group (BMG) in partnership with Warner Music Group’s ADA Worldwide.
UP & RUNNIN6 includes early chart-topping global smashes “JEJEREJE” feat. Amsterdam’s record producer Ginton, “EKELEBE” feat. Nigerian rap sensation ODUMODUBLVCK, “PRAY FOR ME” feat. multi-Grammy winning Hatian rapper Wyclef Jean, and “YOUR BODY,” all of which have accumulated millions of streams and dominated radio airplay on notable music networks.
The album also features the new track and video “MEMORIES,” featuring Ir Sais, as well as notable guest appearances from Legendary Nigerian singer Duncan Mighty, Blvk H3ro, KaylanArnold, Chi Ching Ching, Amaria BB, Spice, Jahmiel, 10Tikkand Larruso.
Speaking about the feature selection in a recent GRAMMY interview, Stonebwoy said: “I’m just paying attention to an inner quest of moving in the UP & RUNNIN6 direction, without necessarily looking at the technicalities. I am moving with a vibrational understanding, but I’m just realizing now what meaning I’m making on a technical level.”
UP & RUNNIN6 is a “welcome return to the BET award-winning and GRAMMY-nominated composer’s roots after much sonic exploration.”
This full-length collection showcases his signature Afro-Caribbean sound while blending Afrobeat, Dancehall, Reggae, Highlife, Amapiano, and R&B across 13 tracks. This project highlights his versatility and commanding vocal presence, delving into themes of introspection, romance, spirituality, and empowerment–a collage of intensity, highs and lows and ebbs and flows–as evident in songs like “PSALM 23,” “BETTA TIN,” “SHINE,” “LOVELY WEATHER,” “GEOGRAPHY,” “PRAY FOR ME” and “FVCK UP SUMMER.”
The album also sees the two-time Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year working with numerous producers, including Samsney, Bijan Amir, Jon P, Dave Nunes, TK Kayembe & Blake, Sammy Soso, Ginton, Shyne, Streetbeatz, TK Kayembe, Young Lee, Mix Master Garzy, and Nana Rouges.
UP & RUNNIN6 is a bold and unapologetic flex of Stonebwoy’s versatility – the project not only reflects his artistic evolution, but also his commitment to pushing the boundaries of global music.
The album continues his rich legacy of groundbreaking albums, including ‘’Grade 1,” ‘’Necessary Evil,” the Billboard-rated ‘’Epistles of Mama,” the 2020 Reggae Ville Album of the Year, ‘’Anloga Junction,” and 2023’s commercially successful album ‘’5TH DIMENSION,” which peaked at No. 8 on the Billboard World Reggae Album Chart.
