The presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has issued a firm warning against any efforts to manipulate the upcoming elections, affirming the party’s commitment to protecting the integrity of the electoral process.
Speaking at the NDC’s final electioneering rally at the Zurak Park, Madina, Accra on Thursday, December 5, 2024, Mahama called on electoral authorities, the security forces, and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to honour democratic principles and ensure a fair election.
According to him, the NDC will not allow the will of the Ghanaian people to be subverted.
“I want to caution the NPP government, the security services, and all those responsible for overseeing the election. I urge you to reject any malicious schemes that may be in the works,” Mr Mahama said.
He further assured the people of Ghana that the NDC would be actively monitoring the elections.
“Together, we will protect our votes with courage and vigilance, and we will not allow anyone to tamper with the results,” he pledged.
