It is the responsibility of New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency executive members to unite and organise to bring people together to build a strong foundation for the party.
They have to put in more effort to drop their egos, personal behaviors and work to build the party to face the fight ahead in 2028.
Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, former NPP Chairman for Afigya Kwabre South Constituency, who stated this, said unity highlighted on teamwork, collaboration and mutual support to achieve shared objectives for the party.
Addressing NPP Constituency Chairmen Caucus in Kumasi, he said it was important for the chairmen to work closely with other constituency executive members to make the party attractive to voters.
“We cannot force voters to choose the NPP. What we say and do will attract votes,” he stated.
Odeneho Appiah, who was former chairman of the Ashanti regional NPP Constituency Chairmen Caucus, pointed out that, it was important for the constituency chairmen to stand united to overcome difficulties, solve problems and make progress.
He said the party needed practical ideas at all levels to promote fairness, accountability, transparency and unite in the interest of the integrity of the party.
Odeneho Appiah pointed out that no civilized society would have issues with those with dissenting views, and democracy must have room for dissenting views.
He said the constituency chairmen, together with other party executives had a duty to protect, promote, rebuild, reorganise and maintain the integrity of the party to enable it to win the 2028 elections.
They must respect and work with everybody to achieve the overall interest of the party, adding that, when the party’s interest is achieved, their individual interests will be achieved.
He stressed the need for the party Chairmen to guide the executive in developing and implementing the party’s strategy, ensuring people were in line with the party goals and objectives to win the 2028 elections, build and maintain strong relationships with all executive members and help them to make informed decisions.
Odeneho Appiah stressed the need to address all concerns in the party immediately to help focus on strategies that would help the NPP win the 2028 elections.
