Zipline Ghana has revealed that it is in discussions with the government to recover outstanding payments exceeding GH¢174 million for 2025.
In an interview, Zipline Country Director Daniel Kwaku Merki expressed confidence that a resolution could be reached.
“Ultimately, we aim to resolve this matter so that we can continue delivering services to all Ghanaians. Our goal is to maintain a financially sustainable operation, which requires a partnership with the government to support its healthcare mandate,” he stated in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM.
This follows concerns raised by the Parliamentary Minority on 25th November 2025, which claimed that the medical drone delivery firm is set to close three of its operational centres due to the unpaid debt.
The caucus warned that the closures could endanger public health, disrupting the delivery of blood, vaccines, and other essential medical supplies, particularly to remote and hard-to-reach communities.
