A tipper truck has run into a mechanic shop, killing three apprentices out of seven at Akorabuokrom in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
According to an eyewitness, the truck with registration number GT 8425-12 was traveling from Bibiani to Kumasi.
Upon reaching Akorabuokrom, the driver reportedly lost control after speeding over a ramp.
It subsequently ran into the shop along the road.
At the spot, three apprentices died, while four sustained severe injuries and were sent to Nyinahin Government Hospital.
They were later referred to Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for treatment.
The Police Command at Nyinahin has arrested the driver to assist in the investigation.
