The 39th anniversary of the 31st December Revolution comes off today.
The anniversary organised by the Central Planning Committee and the Office of the former Statesman is in honour of the leader of the Revolution, Jerry John Rawlings.
It is also in partnership with the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The ceremony will take place at the Osekan Park on the Atta Mills High Street.
Former President John Dramani Mahama and other party officials from the NDC are among many dignitaries to grace the event.
There will be wreath-laying and a parade in honour of the late former President Rawlings.
All guests present are expected to be dressed in red or black attire. The general public, revolutionary organs and the media are cordially invited.
The longest-serving head of state died on November 12, at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
