Management of FBNBank Ghana Limited has pledged continuous support for the journalism profession through sustained working relationships.
According to the Managing Director of the bank, Victor Asante, the media are crucial in ensuring the growth of the financial sector.
“A financial institution grows in a well-functioning democracy and thriving economy. Therefore, the journalists and for that matter the media’s role as the 4th estate of the realm, is crucial and we must all support the profession to succeed,” the M.D said, when a two-member delegation from the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) paid a courtesy call on him.
He added: “We will thus continue to support the media in Ghana...We will also strive to build a strong working relationship with the GJA and its members by continually supporting you in your work because we succeed together.”
The delegation, led by the GJA President, Roland Affail Monney together with his vice, Linda Asante-Agyei, had called on the FBNBank, to thank the management for its support towards the 70th Anniversary celebrations of the association.
“This kind gesture shown to us by FBNBank Ghana will go a long way in helping the GJA organise a successful 70th Anniversary celebrations and our 24th awards event.
“We are indeed grateful to you and your team and we are looking forward to collaborating with FBNBank on other future opportunities,” he added.
FBNBank Ghana Limited has at the centre of its banking operations, key values such as customer satisfaction, openness and transparency.
These, it hopes to entrench, through strong collaboration and partnership with key stakeholders such as the media.
