The Independence match between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have been scheduled for April 11, organizers have confirmed.
The match was originally scheduled for Saturday, March 7 at the Hive London Stadium, however, the organizers announced the postponement of the match from the original date, citing torrential downpour in north London.
Though both Kotoko and Hearts played in the UK against English oppositions in 1969 and 1970, this will be the first time the two Ghanaian giants are facing off against each other away from the traditional settings at the Hive London Stadium, home of Barnet FC.
According to the Ghana Football Association, it sanctioned the game due to its national nature in commemorating Ghana's independence and has received the blessing of the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
The much-anticipated clash is being organized by Proball International Limited, HRH Sports Consultancy Ltd., supported by the GFA, Ghana Tourism Authority, Visit Ghana, Beyond The Return and Access Media are part of the organizing team
Tickets for the game are going for £20, £25, £30, £40 & £45 and are available from https://www.venuetoolbox.com/barnetfc/ASP/bookTickets.asp
