Four persons have been murdered in Abrumase in the East Gonja district of the Savannah region by unidentified youths of the town following the murder of a ten-year-old Gonja boy Abudu Jalulu by a 25-year-old Fulani herdsman, Mokso.
Abudu Jalulu who had led his cattle to the bush at Shienago for grazing was killed by Mokso for unknown reasons.
According to the Savannah Regional police commander DCOP Enoch Adutwum Bediako, after the news of the murder of Abudu Jalulu reached the town, some youth besieged the Fulani communities within Shienago enclave and subsequently attacked and killed the four Fulani herdsmen.
The deceased who were found lying in the bush have been identified as Mokso 25, Alhaji Goroko 65, Osman 43 and Idisah 14.
DCOP Bediako says, police personnel who were sent to retreat the bodies for autopsy could not do so due to threats from the youth.
They have refused to allow security personnel near the bodies or access into the bushes where the murder took place.
He said due to the posture of the youth the police tactically withdrew for the next line of action.
DCOP Bediako has urged residents of Abrumase to remain calm and let the security investigate the murder cases.
