The Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) has called on property owners and landlords to readily volunteer information if their tenants returned to the country between March 3 to 23, 2020.
According to a statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs, Supt. Michael Amoako-Atta, this will enable the security service to effectively and efficiently identify all individuals who came to the country within the period as directed by President Nana Akufo-Addo.
He also added that it will help in the contact tracing exercise by the Ghana Health Service (GHS) to assess and manage them.
“Failure to adhere to this directive and found culpable will attract severe sanctions in accordance with the laws of the country.”
Supt Amoako-Atta indicated that people with information should contact GIS on 0291502110, 0291502169, 0291502257 and 0291502253.
