Karaga District will be made a Municipality – Bawumia

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has hinted that the Karaga District in the Northern Region will be elevated to a Municipality.

According to him, the Local Government Minister Hajia Alima Mahama has already initiated the process.

He urged the people to retain the NPP government since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) led by John Mahama have a track record of cancelling good policies.

He also alleged that a Mahama-led administration cannot be trusted to continue with the policies already initiated by the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

He further appealed to the people to vote for Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam to become the next Member of Parliament.

He said Dr Amin is a resourceful person who would lead the development agenda of the area.

Dr. Bawumia said even as a candidate, Dr. Amin has initiated several projects aimed at improving the lives of the people.

Dr Amin who also addressed the gathering outlined some of the projects he has undertaken in the area.

Among other things, Dr. Amin said he had established an educational fund to support tertiary students in the constituency.

The Regent of Karaga, Naa Bakpema Sumani Mahama urged political parties to conduct their campaign devoid of insults.

While praising the NPP government for various developmental projects, Naa Bakpema Mahama said it takes a competent government to initiate such development.
