Months after ‘beefing’, rapper Medikal insists he did not charge colleague rapper Eno Barony a penny to feature on her song.
Speaking to George Quaye on Showbiz A-Z on Joy 99.7 FM on Saturday, he stated that he does not recall taking money to work with the 'Rap Goddess'.
“I don’t know why she said that but I don’t remember her paying anything. I never took a penny from her directly,” Medikal said.
The two were involved in a social media ‘beef’ after Eno supposedly ‘dissed’ Medikal in her song ‘Argument Done’.
In the song, she allegedly labeled Medikal the ghost writer for Sister Afia’s rap song ‘WMT’ – a song which began the feud between Eno Barony, Sista Afia and Freda Rhymz.
Medikal reacting to the diss in a tweet stated that he didn’t expect Eno to disrespect him after he featured and shot a video for her song without taking a penny from her.
But Eno on Showbiz A-Z said Medikal lied about that.
“I still appreciate what he did for me. I can’t come out and talk about what he took because even if it was someone, he wouldn’t have taken that money. I brought this out because he said he took nothing.”
However, Medikal stated that he tries to help new artiste as much as he can without taking money from anyone.
When asked about his current relationship with Eno, the 'La Hustle' rapper said, “one thing about me is that, I’m cool with everybody, I don’t have a problem with anybody."
"If you offend me in anyway or do something I don’t like, I’ll tell you my mind then we move on. If I should wrong you too, I’ll apologize and that’s it so I don’t have an issue with anybody.”
Medikal stated that he does not mind working with Eno Barony once again if need be.
