Owner and bankroller of Division One club Berekum Arsenal, Alhaji Yakubu Moro has passed away.
Moro was confirmed dead Thursday evening at the Ridge Regional Hospital after battling a short illness.
Under Moro’s tenure, Berekum Arsenal were promoted to the Ghana Premier League in 2000 and stayed in the elite division for the next 13 years.
As per Islamic practice, Alhaji Moro will be buried Friday, October 16.
