Less than 24 hours after the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) filed a petition to challenge the Presidential results of the just-ended 2020 general election at the Supreme Court, some Ghanaians have taken to social media to share their opinions.

Mr. John Dramani Mahama, through his lawyers has asked the apex court to order a re-run of the presidential polls.

He maintained that the votes obtained by the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) candidate, President Nana Akufo-Addo and himself as declared by the EC Chairperson, were not enough for a candidate to be announced winner.

But reacting to the petition by the former President, some social media users accused him and his party of not being consistent.

The lawyers for the former President are also being trolled for submitting what many have described as an 'error-ridden petition' with the hashtag 'Petition of Error' already trending on Twitter.
