Afrobeats and reggae artiste, Adam Ro sees light at the end of the tunnel.
Despite the far-reaching impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on entertainment, the US-based Ghanaian musician sees it as an opportunity to diversify.
Known in real life as Rashid Rauf Adam, the musician indicated that, in the face of cancellations of major concerts which sought to provide revenue for artists, streaming platforms have become the new niche for artists to make money.
He, however, noted that the diverse avenue for money making has been taken for granted.
“I believe the Covid has made it tough for musicians around the world. Most Artists don’t take streaming platforms seriously but it pays more than you can imagine if you have the numbers, Facebook, Amazon, Boomplay, YouTube, Apple Music, Audiomack and Spotify,” he said.
The sensational songwriter, who started his music carrier on the streets of Ashaiman urged artists to embrace the new norm and make the best out of it.
Through music, Adam Ro wants to inspire his listeners to make the most of their gifts.
He mixes a wide range of music with motivating lyrics to share his story of strife and perseverance.
“Currently, the goal is to motivate the underdogs to make changes,” he insists.
The versatile artiste first started his journey under the name, Adam Ro Music. He recorded his first-ever single, ‘Pray,’ which he distributed by hand to friends and family, building an initial fan base.
He also has been recognized internationally by music lovers across the world.
Some of his works include Higher Man, Mix, Africa Woman and Schoolyard Crush.
