Police at Offinso in the Ashanti Region have mounted a search for a four-year-old boy, Dauda Abdallah who has been missing for the past five days.
It is reported that the boy was last seen in the company of a 22-year-old vulcanizer, Emmanuel Oduro who is currently in the custody of the police.
According to Oduro, the boy was left in the company of two other boys who run away during the police raid.
The father of the boy, Gibriel Azure says he suspects the boy has been abducted by scammers who have allegedly taken over the town.
“Every now and then we hear of an abduction. Why don’t they use their own children?” he quizzed.
According to the boy's mother, she saw the suspect pick up the son at 3:00 pm and moved out with him but she assumed he was going to buy a drink for him so failed to question where he was taking his son.
But around 3.30 pm she saw the suspect without the child so she asked about the whereabouts of the child but the suspect failed to provide a meaningful response.
Parents of little Dauda Abdallah are distraught and are seeking the support of the public.
“Up till now, I don’t know where my child. I plead that all efforts are made to help me find my boy,” pleaded Mercy Bukari, mother of the boy.
