A cargo truck has veered off a flyover the Kwame Nkrumah Circle Interchange in Accra.
The vehicle with registration number, GT 8337 X was carrying gallons of engine oil on Friday, June 11, 2021.

According to eyewitnesses, the vehicle had tried using the flyover from the old Obra Spot towards the Awudome cemetery road when it suddenly started reversing halfway through the climb at about 9:00 pm.
In the process, it damaged the rails on the road while skidding back downwards.

The two containers on the truck also fell off with the gallons spreading on the road.
No casualty was, however, recorded.
Subsequently, personnel from the Ghana Police Service and the Ghana National Fire Service were also at the scene to regulate the free flow of traffic.
