A Circuit Court in Cape Coast has granted bail to the DCE for Ajumako Enyan Essiam, Ransford Kwesi Nyarko and his party Chairman for allegedly assaulting a police officer at Ajumako Ochiso in December last year.
The police officer, Cpl Frank Mensah, was at the post after he had effected the arrest of a suspect who had assaulted the son of a complainant.
While taking statements from the parties involved, according to the Police, his outfit received a call from someone who identified himself as Bob.
The said Bob is reported to have verbally abused him, so he ended the call and went about his duties. A few minutes later, a motorbike and two cars including the vehicle of the DCE arrived at the premises of the Police Station.

The bail sum was GH¢ 40,000.00 and the accused persons are to report every Monday to the investigator till the case is disposed of. The case is being prosecuted by the Attorney General's office in Cape Coast.
