President Akufo-Addo has informed the people of Savelugu in the Northern Region that they will benefit from the 101 district hospitals to be constructed by his government.
He intimated that the construction of the 101 district hospitals across the country, will be announced in the coming days as all necessary arrangements have been put in place.
"Lands have been procured, the designs have been completed and the contractors have been identified and I am happy for you and for me because Savelugu is part of the 101 districts,” he said.
The President made the revelation on Saturday, August 7, when he paid a courtesy call on the Chief of Savelugu, Yoo Naa Yakubu Andani Abdulai V during his tour of the region.

President Akufo-Addo said he was disturbed to discover that there were 101 districts out of the 260 districts without hospitals during the outbreak of the virus, therefore the launch of the agenda 111.
For him, the main objective of his government is to secure Covid-19 vaccines for the people of Ghana.
The country, he said has encountered challenges because of the global shortage of the vaccine. However, he believes the narrative will soon change due to some arrangements made.
According to the President, despite the delay to procure vaccines, government is committed to attaining herd immunity by the end of the year.
On his part, Yoo Naa Yakubu Andani Abdulai V appealed for the urgent vaccination of Ghanaians against the pandemic.
He also appealed for water, a rapid expansion of inputs for farmers, educational infrastructure and roads.
