Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum has been announced as the new head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Prior to his new appointment, Dr Ogum guided West African Football Academy (WAFA) to finish third on the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League table.
He will replace Mariano Barreto who mutually terminated his contract with the Kumasi-based club on Friday.
The 43-year-old manager joins the Porcupine Warriors on a 2-year deal, having previously handled UCC Soccer Team, Elmina Sharks, Ebusua Dwarfs and Karela United.
Kotoko announced its new engagement with Dr Narteh Ogum on its official twitter handle in the early hours of Sunday.
He is also a sports psychologist and an educationist.
Management and fans of Kotoko are hopeful their new coach will lead them to win the upcoming premiership title after narrowly losing the trophy to arch rivals, Hearts of Oak in the last season.
