The Ghana Premier League is set to continue over the weekend after some MTN FA Cup action in midweek, which saw the likes of Hearts of Oak, GoldStars and Aduana advance into the next stage of the cup competition.

Back in league action, Samuel Boadu's side will face free-scoring side, Dreams FC at the Theatre of Dreams in Dawu in a Christmas day fixture.

The Accra-based side has picked up wins in their last two games in the league and a win against the Believers will see their title defence back on track.

Current league leaders, Aduana Stars will be on the road as they play Medeama Sporting Club at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa.

Both teams have one win each in the last two encounters in the league while the Ogya boys lost their last encounter against Medeama away from home. Aduana's last win over the Mauve and Yellow side on the road came in January 2016, when they beat them with a 3-0 scoreline.

After a convincing 3-2 win over Dreams earlier this week, King Faisal will face Bechem United in the next round of fixtures away from home.

The Insha Allah boys have had an impressive start to the 2021/22 season and will look to keep their momentum in the top-flight.

Gold Stars will also host Karela United at the Dun's Park on Boxing day while Accra Great Olympics turn their attention to Techiman Eleven Wonders.

Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Ogum Narteh will lead the club from the sidelines as they face his former side WAFA at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday. This will be the first meeting between the two sides in the league since Narteh left the Academy lads before the start of the season.

Berekum Chelsea will battle with AshantiGold for the maximum points with Accra Lions also facing competition from Real Tamale United.

Legon Cities, who are winless in their last seven league games will have the opportunity to end the year with a victory when they travel to play Elmina Sharks.
